At Jacobs, we know that when it comes to a world that’s smarter, more connected and more sustainable, digital solutions are an important thread linking it all together. In our digital advisory work, we’re leveraging innovative technologies and big data analytics to solve the world’s most critical challenges. From shaping the safer cities of tomorrow, to protecting against climate change – we’re combining diverse talents with deep client-application experience and digital intelligence to deliver solutions that connect people and places with the means to work smarter and live better, and make an enduring, positive difference in the world.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Surveyor to join our Sydney Data Capture team in 2021 or 2022. You'll complete field and office tasks alongside our team of experienced surveyors on major road, rail and water infrastructure projects in NSW and across Australia and New Zealand – and we'll mentor you each step of the way to ensure you're set up for success.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Ideally, by January 2022 you’ll hold a university degree in Surveying (or equivalent degree). This is a unique role that requires applicants hold Australian work rights. Bring your curiosity, collaborative spirit and strong communication skills, and we’ll help you grow, pursue and fulfil what drives you – so we can make big impacts on the world, together.

Our Graduate Program

As a Graduate at Jacobs you’ll be a valued member of our team from Day 1 and work on real projects, bids and tenders from the get-go. Under the guidance and mentorship of our experts and industry leaders you’ll be equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver the boldest solutions for the extraordinary and the everyday. From gaining hands-on experience to participating in networking events and structured learning sessions, you’ll find new and inventive ways to help our clients make the world a better place.

We see graduates as the future leaders of our business, which is why we’re delighted to have received the Australian Financial Review’s Top 100 Graduate Employers award for ‘Most Popular Engineering & Resources Employer’ in 2021! Our teams offer a supportive environment to help you to learn, grow and excel. No matter what drives you, you’ll discover how you can cultivate, nurture and achieve your goals – all at a single global company.

Jacobs. A world where you can.

From our inclusive employee networks, to our positive mental health champions – we’re committed to driving a culture of caring where you can be you. Joining Jacobs not only connects you locally but globally – and together, our diverse perspectives and unique backgrounds power our collective strength. We collaborate and share! By supporting one another, we all succeed.

With safety, accessibility and flexibility always top of mind, we’ve gone beyond traditional ways of working so you have the support, means and space to maximise your potential. You’ll uncover flexible working arrangements, benefits and opportunities to do good too – from participating in our global giving and volunteering program, to delivering ever more innovative and sustainable solutions for clients.

‘We live Inclusion’ is a key value at Jacobs, we are an equal opportunity employer and encourage candidates of diverse backgrounds to apply. First Nations community members are strongly encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates will be asked to complete pre-employment checks including: Identity, Right to Work; Employment/Education History and Criminal Record. If you are unable to complete these checks or meet the associated criteria, then your offer of employment may be delayed or withdrawn.

To be considered for this role, please apply via the link and attach your CV, cover letter, proof of Australian working rights (e.g. birth certificate or passport) and academic transcript to your application.

Graduate Success Stories

  • Graduate stories
It’s the extra roles and committees outside of project work that I treasure most and that makes me feel included. Roles such as being the lead of the First Nations Committee; this role allows me to embrace my culture and heritage within the business and gives me the confidence to bring the complete ‘Nick’ to work every day.
