What projects/initiatives does your employer run and what have you worked on personally?
I am very proud of our company's CSR commitments. There is a strong push for integrity in business dealings when working for my company. Employees are given leave to spend time volunteering in their community. This year the graduates volunteered together at a food recovery organisation in Sydney and Melbourne. I have been able to contribute to events to support gender/cultural/identity events. These events are held regularly to raise awareness and encourage feedback and advice to improve our CSR performance.

They're committed to creating a work environment that doesn't tolerate any sort of unethical work behaviour/conduct.

There has been a real pivot in CSR in the last few years, perhaps partially driven by the settlement of a major lawsuit recently... But the company is now very strongly pushing ethical behaviour internally, with almost monthly emails and events to foster ethical business practices. In terms of external events, Ericsson provides and encourages all employees to take an annual paid volunteering day each year, which I did this year to help prepare food for disadvantaged people, which was a great experience. They talk a big game about minimising environmental impact, and some real positive steps have been taken, but I still feel that more could be done.

Our commitment to reduce energy consumption in today's mobile networks to reduce its effect on global warming and to go green is in full swing here @ Ericsson. These days we work closely with all our customers to achieve less emissions and a more sustainable technical solution.

Most of the social responsibility initiatives have been initiated and driven by YPs and employees. YP committee this year reached out to charities and provided the employees with opportunities volunteer. But there have not been any such initiatives that have stemmed as a part of the company's annual agenda.
