8.5 rating for Culture, based on 33 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Good team work environment however can have long working hours due to project delivery program. Easy to work with designers of other disciplines or offices. Junior engineers are guided and managed by the seniors and all managed under the team leader

office culture is very good, we all hunker down when required and get coffees/lunches together. Managers are part of the team and participate in the group activities and are available to talk to. After hours is also very good with regular team events

Company culture is fine with decent people, however there are some that play a game of office politics which I personally find distasteful.

Culture is people-centric. My team is close knit and work together on projects. We socialise sometimes outside of work as well.

Aurecon values lower level employees- I was a grad for less than a year when I got promoted based on merit. They have an emerging professionals program, the head of which reports to the leadership team to ensure that EPs have a voice in the company. This is also true within the projects I work on. I have friends within the team which I meet up with outside of work, but the team also puts on team lunches or pub nights regularly.

culture depends on the team teams with younger people friendlier and more social than top heavy teams lots of teamwork within the team

The culture at Aurecon is very open to bottom-up initiatives and doesn't seem to operate with strong hierarchical structure. People in senior leadership are open and supportive of initiatives, where-ever they arise from, and are supportive of developing emerging talent. People are open to cooperation and helping each other whenever asked, and there's a strong culture of socialising, especially amongst EPs. I really appreciate how some of the senior people join into social events as well, it's not just EPs. I also love how we often gather at lunch times.

The company's culture is very welcoming and it makes me feel comfortable to share my ideas. It is also inclusive and the after hours activities makes going to work quite exciting. Team work and socializing within the immediate team is quite strong and connected.

Culture in the Gladstone office is very good and I like working with my peers. It is a fun and engaging environment and I feel like a worthy member of the team. The one thing that I do not like is the expectation that everyone will have to work unpaid overtime on a regular basis and several team members often work more than there designated rostered schedule, including working on weekends, which makes me feel like I have to do the same thing otherwise I might let the team down.

Excellent culture. Flexible working practices, supportive and inclusive company culture, clear avenues for mentoring and career advancement, and many opportunities to socialise outside of work - many funded by the company.
